Tribute

I’ve been holding this one for a while.  Every time I wanted to publish it here, the timing just didn’t seem right.  And in reality, I’m not sure I would ever feel like the timing is right for this one.

Before last season Winthrop lost its backup point guard.  The season was full of tributes, from writing on people’s shoes to the imitation of his free throw style whenever a Winthrop player went to the line.

And yet, this one really stand out in my mind.  Everything came together perfectly for this shot.  I turned around just in time to see the subject here turn around, point to the sky, and pull the number patch out in a way that almost seemed like he was making sure I got that in the shot too.
