Macro
Gargoyle
This really needs a better sky to go with it. Another of those “add the eerie clouds and you’re good” kind of shots.

Fake-o Macro
Every once in a while I go out to get some macro shots and remember that I don’t have a macro lens. Which makes me sad and angry, because I’d like to get some shots like that and I really should remember after a few hundred times that I don’t have one.
Then I remember that I can take a longer lens and back up. It might not be a true macro, but it gets me the shot that I want. And in the end, isn’t that the important part?
Sometimes you can’t do things the way you planned. So you have to get by with what you have. Sometimes that means going about things a different way, and sometimes it means finding a new goal. But crying about how things aren’t the way you want them to be? That does nothing but waste time.

It’s Too Late
I really should have used a flash on this one. Or upped the ISO. Or some other way of letting in more light. But I’m still a fan.
And to my US readers, happy Thanksgiving. To everyone else, happy Thursday.

Honor
At the time of the writing of this post, I have no idea who the next president of the United States will be. And when it comes down to it, I really don’t think it matters.
Whoever gets the job will have a lot of work on their hands. And if history is any indication, it will be the winner of the 2012 election that will really get the credit for turning things around. Not to say that whoever won this election won’t still be around, but these kind of changes don’t happen overnight.
Hopefully whoever the winner of the 2008 election is will perform the job with honor.

Texture
It’s tree bark. Nothing more, and nothing less. But I really like texture, so I think it’s interesting.

Vice (Bloody Edit 2)
This is the first Transformed Tuesday in a long time. I took a photograph of the word Vice (which in itself was inside of Service), darkened it up, and added blood dripping from the letters.
Vice
Winthrop has lots of words. Which makes sense, it is a university.
So one day I decided to try to find other words. Kind of like a giant game of Boggle, without that annoying timer reminding me that my brain doesn’t work that way. One of my favorites is ‘Vice’ found inside of ‘Service.’

Intelligent Touching
Finally, a store that realizes you have to touch things to see if you want to buy it. And the best part is that this is a blown glass store.

Hiding
I’m back and forth over if I like the purple in the lower left corner of this one. I wish I didn’t have the main flower so centered though.

Power Struggle
At a red light I decided to get as close to the power line pole that I could get. I’m surprised at the level of splintering.
