Plant Life
Needles
There’s something about the simplicity of a monochromatic image that I find appealing. Like this one, it’s green. Yes, there are a few other colors in there, but the bulk of it is green. And yet it doesn’t seem to me that it really needs any other color.

Fake-o Macro
Every once in a while I go out to get some macro shots and remember that I don’t have a macro lens. Which makes me sad and angry, because I’d like to get some shots like that and I really should remember after a few hundred times that I don’t have one.
Then I remember that I can take a longer lens and back up. It might not be a true macro, but it gets me the shot that I want. And in the end, isn’t that the important part?
Sometimes you can’t do things the way you planned. So you have to get by with what you have. Sometimes that means going about things a different way, and sometimes it means finding a new goal. But crying about how things aren’t the way you want them to be? That does nothing but waste time.

Yet Another Flower Closeup
The only thing I really like doing with flowers is taking pictures of them. For this one, I wanted to do something I hadn’t seen before. I have no doubt that other people have gotten this view, but it’s not anywhere that I’m aware of.

View Inside the Flower
I really like how the red stands out against all of the yellow and green, the shape of the yellow inside of the tulip.

Glowing Flower
I don’t know how I got the flower to glow like this. It is straight from the camera.

Dripage
I really like how I captured the water drops in this one. If you look closely enough in the drip, you can see the other plants being reflected. I’m pretty sure this one is straight from the camera, but if it’s not there’s just some curves work done it.
