First off, it's really hurting me not to have an apostrophe in there. But I wanted to name this after the street sign, and the sign doesn't have one. It really needs the possessive if you ask me.

Secondly, I experimented with some layers masks so I could brighten up the pole that the sign is on and the tree. Painting the pole was a lot easier than painting around all of those leaves.

How did I do with the editing on this one?

  • Lovely shot and nice processing. Background buildings have a bit of a tilt-shift look. :)
    You could try something like fake fill-flash or tone mapping here. I can't give you more info on this technique, sorry: i use GIMP and therefore have no clue about how to do it in Photoshop. But i'm sure you can easily find it on the Web.
