I started with the reddish triangle thing going over the yellow one, and just filled in spaces where it made sense from there. The original is crayon, and I boosted the colors a bit for this scan.

Ok, it's not really sunrise. And the Roman Empire had its downfall a long time ago. But when I looked at this one it's the first thing I thought of, and it just oddly seems to work.

The Duality of Progress

Everybody wants progress of some kind. More things built around the city so there's stuff to do. A new store so you can have a choice on where to shop.
Even people who say they don't like progress want progress. Keeping land undeveloped progresses the idea of keeping cities from exploding.
Of course, progress always has its price. And unfortunately it sometimes doesn't take much to move from a healthy change to getting your butt burnt.

Old Sprinkler

My parents have a bunch of old stuff in the backyard. Most of it is there because of the guy who owned the house before them.
I saw this sprinkler and thought I'd use it to play around and see how old I could make the image look.

This is from a show I had the pleasure of shooting a while back. What I really liked about the entire thing was how much fun everyone seemed to have doing their performance. Which is great because if you ask me, anyone who can't have fun while flying around like that doesn't deserve to do it.
